Hasley Pitman is an undergraduate student in the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications. She is studying telecommunication – news, with a minor in leadership.
She currently is an anchor and reporter for PBS affiliate, WUFT-TV. She also has reported and produced for NPR affiliate, WUFT-FM 89.1. Hasley has interned with NBC News’ Social Newsgathering team in New York City during the Summer of 2019. She also has interned with WCJB-TV20 in Gainesville, Florida, and shadowed at CBS47-Action News Jax in Jacksonville, Florida. She plans to graduate in the Spring of 2020 and attend law school to become a media correspondent.
Hasley is the College Liaison for UF’s College of Journalism and Communications Ambassadors, managing tours for prospective students, alum and faculty. She is also on the Executive Board as Vice President of Membership for the Alpha Psi Chapter of Delta Delta Delta. She also has been a Public Relations Captain for Dance Marathon at UF, helping run the social media accounts and raising money for the kids at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.
